I attended Creation’s SciFi Summit at the beginning of the month and have added my pictures to the gallery.

I’ve completed the new layout for the main part of the site. I’ll be fixing up the gallery and media sections another time. If anything doesn’t work for you, please let me know. I checked it all out but I could have missed something.

CHARITY: Waterkeeper Alliance Earth Day Auction is offering lunch on the set of Sanctuary with Amanda Tapping (for 2). The auction ends on April 30 and the current bid is $1,450.00.

STARGATE: The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Amanda will make a guest appearance on Stargate Universe. Which episode is unknown at the moment but this makes the fourth original Stargate cast member to appear on SGU (Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks and Gary Jones have also been announced)

PRESS: I’ve been trying to wade through my backlog of interviews to add to the archive and I’ve finally made a dent in the written ones from the end of 2008. Once I’ve tackled the rest of them, I’ll start adding the new stuff from 2009 and then start of the video interviews. Sorry I got so far behind. I’ve added 9 interviews so far - PRESS ARCHIVE

Even with all that experience behind her, stepping into the role of Magnus was initially daunting for the actress. “It was very scary,” she recalls. “I was so nervous my first day on the Sanctuary set. I thought I had [found] my character’s voice and then began to question that along with other things.

Speaking of interviews, Joe Mallozzi posted his Q&A with Amanda today. You can find it at his blog here.

AT: Be True to yourself. Don’t ever feel like you’re being compromised. Make strong choices and be prepared in auditions and on set. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, but make sure they are important and relevant. It’s also important to understand where you fit on a set. They are busy and complicated places and we actors aren’t always the most important element. We need to have respect for the whole process. Spend time on set, sitting and watching what everyone does and how it all fits together.

SCREENCAPS: I’ve been asked to screencap the trailer for Dancing Trees and I’ll do my best to get it done. Last time I tried to save the video i couldn’t, no matter what I tried. Hopefully my luck will be better this time and I’ll be able to save and cap it.

GALLERY: I’ve been adding new pictures to the gallery over the past week and I’ve still got more to add. All have been Stargate related so far. Check the last uploads page to see what’s been added.

SANCTUARY: The season finale of Sanctuary (Revelations pt 2) recieved it’s second best ratings of the season - 1.6. Sanctuary has had the best first-year season (of an original series) since Eureka premiered in 2006. Sanctuary rounded out the season with a 1.8 average rating for the whole season Congratulations Amanda and the Sanctuary team.

AMANDA: Amanda was selected as this years Woman of Vision award winner for Women in Film & Television Vancouver : The Spotlight Award Winners of 2009.

Woman of Vision (Special Jury Prize) — Amanda Tapping, actor, director, and
producer, for her ground-breaking work on Sanctuary and having the vision to grow the series from webcast to broadcast. Amanda is also a well-known mentor in the Vancouver film community and a great teller of women’s stories.

AT4: Within the first few minutes of tickets going on sale, AT4 sold out. 500 people logged on to buy 270 tickets. Gabit has put together a waiting list you can sign up for in case tickets become available due to inability to pay/go.

GALLERY: I added a few more stills from Atlantis Season 4 to the gallery, as well as, pictures from Amanda promoting Sanctuary at the NBC Store Experience.

Amanda has designed two pet bowls for spcaLA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles) and they are up for auction now. The auction runs until December 15. The bowls are autographed and come with a signed picture as well.

I can’t seem to find rating for The Five or Edward on SciFi Wire, which is where I picked these up.

GALLERY: I added a couple new Sanctuary promos, some behind-the-scenes green screen pictures and a bunch of episode stills. The episode stills go all the way through Requiem, so they contain spoilers. There’s even one for the season finale. Please don’t look if you don’t want to be spoiled.

MERCHANDISE: Sanctuary For All has brought back their merchandise store. So far it features a hoodie, t-shirt and hat, that I think were the original things sold when the webisodes were out. I didn’t buy anything during that time so I’m not completely sure if it’s the same stuff.
