We have a wonderful new layout to commemorate the fifth anniversary. It was made by the talented Jess of Night Blooming Designs. I have to say this is my favorite layout so far. It’s fantastic.

I tried to check that everything worked right but if you come across a dead link or anything like that, please let me know so I can fix it.

It is with great pleasure that I can say AT Online has been online for five years today. I opened this site in 2008 when there wasn’t a source being regularly updated with Amanda news, pictures, videos, etc. I’ve worked hard over the years to make this one of the best places to meet all your Amanda needs and I’m happy that we’re still going strong after all these years.

I want to thank you for sticking with me through all the good times and bad. September 2011 – 2012 was a hard year for me, I was working 18 hour days/7 days a week and I hardly had time to sleep much less update the site. You stuck through the lean time and I can say without a doubt that the site came back stronger than ever.

I just want to thank you guys for making running this site such a good experience. Amanda fans are far and away one of the nicest and friendliest fandoms I’ve ever seen.

In honor of today, I went through every single page on the site and updated them (minus the press archive) and made sure everything was up-to-date. Until I got kicked out of my media site by the server (I guess it got tired of the workout I was giving it), I was uploading videos. I got through almost 20 before it started timing out on me. The gallery might even recieve a major re-organization today. I’ve ordered a new layout for the site but because I want it to be absolutely perfect, it’s not ready yet. It should be to my liking soon and up around the end of the month.

It’s also Olivia’s 8th birthday today so…

A while back I brought up the idea of fan submitted videos and fanvids being added to the video archive and it seemed to be well received. YouTube tends to delete a lot of stuff and I thought, why let it be deleted when there’s a perfectly good Amanda focused video archive right here. It’s taken me a while to get the video archive back up and running but now that I’ve almost gotten all the videos re-added, it’s the perfect time to open it up for fan videos.

Do you make fanvids? Have videos from conventions or tv interviews that are sitting on your computer or have been removed from YouTube? Add them here where they will never be removed and you can share with all of fandom.

There are three ways to have your videos added.

1) Through dropbox. Just upload and share with amandatappingonline@gmail.com

2) If they are already uploaded somewhere, link me and I can upload them without any additional work on your part. I’ll add your summary and credit the username you’ve uploaded it under (or another name if your prefer).

3) If you have stuff that isn’t already online and you don’t have a dropbox account, you can make some zip folders and upload them somewhere like sendspace and send me the link.

You can include the summary for your videos and the name to credit or I can do the summary myself. Totally up to you since they are your videos. Because of spam issues, I have it set up where only I can upload videos. If I ever change that setting, I’ll let you guys know and you can start uploading your own videos.

As some of you may have noticed the video archive was down for a couple of days. I’ve been unable to upload any videos recently and was becoming frustrated with my chosen script. I deleted the entire archive and started over from scratch (don’t worry I still have all the videos). There’s still a couple things I need to tweak before I start readding all the videos but it’s back and you can check it out here.

There are officially only 11 days until Christmas (12 if you count it) so that means it’s time for some presents. Presents, yay! What I’m going to attempt to do is have something for you every day. It might be screencaptures, a video or maybe just some new pictures, but you’ll (hopefully) have something new (to the site) every day until Christmas. The 12 days of Amanda will begin today and end on Christmas Day. There’s no set time frame for each thing to be posted but updates will go out to twitter and facebook so if you’re following me there, you’ll know as soon as I’ve added it.
