RANDOM ACTS OF ROMANCE: Everyone is keeping up with the Random Acts of Romance facebook page right? They’ve been posting pictures daily and most them them have included Amanda. If (like me) you’re not on facebook and forget to check in, there’s also two twitters you could follow. @RandomActsFilm or @RandomAORomance. One has the daily pictures and the other has some quotes from the characters.

FASHION SHOW: More big news. Amanda will be walking the runaway in Toronto on March 8 for The Heart Truth Fashion Show. The fashion show will be streaming live at thehearttruth.ca so don’t forget to tune in. The show will start at 8pm EST.

The fifth anniversary of The Heart Truth Fashion Show promises to be the biggest yet, with A-listers from television, film, music, sports and media modeling one-of-a-kind creations by top Canadian fashion designers. For the second consecutive year, men will show their support on the catwalk. The Heart Truth campaign brings this life-saving message to all Canadian women: protect your heart health.

SANCTUARY FOR KIDS: Tuesday is the last day for the Bricks and Blocks campaign. Remember to donate for the ATO House. Our house isn’t finished yet so one last big push would be awesome. Please donate if you can. Anything and everything helps.

Amanda has been cast in Random Acts of Romance, “a hilarious and sexy comedy from Vancouver filmmaker Katrin Bowen”. Filming starts January 31 in Vancouver.

With the interconnected theme of Four Weddings and a Funeral, and the free flowing sexuality of Lie with Me, Random Acts of Romance takes the audience on a sexual joy ride.

Sanctuary for Kids brought this to our attention and we thought we could extend the birthday card option to those who donated for that as well. So if you made a donation to Sanctuary for Kids for #ATTwitterFandomUnited and would be interested in sending a birthday card to Amanda we’ve extended the deadline for cards for both international and north american mail.

The new deadline for birthday cards to be postmarked is August 15th. If you wanted to participate but missed the deadline, this gives you another chance.

If you are unable or don’t want to include a card but still want to participate, you can email us your payment confirmation and include a birthday note of 300 words or less to Amanda by August 24 and it will be included as well. This deadline applies to emails only, all cards must be postmarked by August 15.

This is your chance to wish Amanda a “Happy Birthday” and help Sanctuary for Kids at the same time. After tossing around a few ideas, we came up with the idea for this project.

DRAGON*CON: Amanda has been announced as a guest at Dragon*Con. It will take place September 2-5 in Atlanta, Georgia.

SANCTUARY: Both Syfy and Space have announced that they’ve picked Sanctuary for a fourth season.

THE ZENOIDS: William Shatner says that The Zenoids, which Amanda is executive producing and voicing a character for, will eventually make it to TV or film.

The veteran actor then hopes an initial four webisodes being produced at Montreal’s Oasis Animation will spawn a TV series or feature film. And to get there, a cloud-sourcing Shatner will use his online community on myouterspace.com to make collaborative scripts and music for The Zenoids, and eventually take that fan base to an interested studio or TV network, whether in Canada or the U.S. markets.
