RANDOM ACTS OF ROMANCE: Everyone is keeping up with the Random Acts of Romance facebook page right? They’ve been posting pictures daily and most them them have included Amanda. If (like me) you’re not on facebook and forget to check in, there’s also two twitters you could follow. @RandomActsFilm or @RandomAORomance. One has the daily pictures and the other has some quotes from the characters.

FASHION SHOW: More big news. Amanda will be walking the runaway in Toronto on March 8 for The Heart Truth Fashion Show. The fashion show will be streaming live at thehearttruth.ca so don’t forget to tune in. The show will start at 8pm EST.

New Role for Amanda

Amanda has been cast in Random Acts of Romance, “a hilarious and sexy comedy from Vancouver filmmaker Katrin Bowen”. Filming starts January 31 in Vancouver.

With the interconnected theme of Four Weddings and a Funeral, and the free flowing sexuality of Lie with Me, Random Acts of Romance takes the audience on a sexual joy ride.

You can find the synopsis on the official website. Remember to play special attention to the character of Dianne. That’s Amanda!

Bricks and Blocks Progress

I’m working through Christmas but I hope to have a real, non-charity related update for you soon.

I’ve added a picture to help show our progress. It’s not much now, and will only work if you guys keep me appraised of your donations, but it’s tangible proof of what you’re capable of. You can use twitter, comment to any post or even send in an email with your donation and I’ll keep our progress updated. I don’t need to know who you are, so it’s perfectly fine to let me know anonymously about your donation.

As more donations occur, the house will slowly turn to color.

I’ve heard back from Sanctuary for Kids and we now have a house name to donate too. When you make donations to S4K make sure you include that it’s going towards the ATO HOUSE in the comments section or on your money order. You can find the donation page for S4K here. If you have any question feel free to contact me through email or on twitter, I’ll answer as promptly as I can. If you want to let me know how much you’ve donated, I’ll try to keep track on our progress.

Remember, if we manage to build our house, I’ll think of a cool giveaway for you guys. We only have until February, so every bit counts.

I’m way behind on Sanctuary captures but I haven’t seen any of the episodes I haven’t capped yet. I’m capping as I watch. I’m up to Fugue now, so captures from Homecoming and Icebreaker have been added to the gallery.

Bricks and Blocks Fundraising Campaign

Want to build a virtual house for Sanctuary for Kids? (It’s a way to show fundraising progress). There are currently 466 twitter followers so if each person donates $5 and our visitors donate $5 each, we could easily build a house by February.

Over the next few months we are going to build a village of virtual adobe houses- each home is $2000, with a brick costing $20. So 100 bricks builds a home! Just think how many adobe houses we can build in three months and then disperse to our international charities! Our goal is to surpass the $20,000 we raised last winter.

I thought it would be cool to see if our visitors and twitter followers could build a house in a few short months. I don’t know if anyone would be interested so I’ll leave you a poll to fill out. If there’s a good amount of interest, I’ll email S4K and throw our name into a group building project. I’ll keep track of what has been donated and post periodic progress reports on our house. If we successfully complete a house by February, I’ll try to come up with a creative, fun giveaway.

SITE: First I’d like to apologize for the lack of updates. I’ve been doing someone a favor which has left me with very little free time. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be doing this but I’ll update when I can.
