At the end of every round the votes are zeroed out and we have to start over. Sanctuary for Kids does so much with what it gets, just imagine what it could do with a donation this size. I received a comment that made me very sad and I feel the need to address in case others feel the same way.
Normally I don’t take to heart any harsh comments I may receive but I know I’m a lousy updater at times. I probably apologize far too often for not updating enough but honestly, it’s not completely my fault. I work a lot. A lot. A lot. A lot. It’s not unusual for me to work 72 hours a week. I pull 12 hours shifts, double shifts and everything in between. I get up at 3am and sometimes I don’t get home until 10:30pm. That doesn’t leave a lot of time for sleep, much less fitting updates in. I try my best but sometimes I fall short. So this is one massive I’M SORRY to everyone, especially those that feel the same way as this person. Now, onto happier things. Taken Back airs tomorrow on Lifetime at 8pm. There are Promotional Images and Stills in the gallery. I’m not able to record it in order to make screencaptures so if anyone can send it to me, I’d be forever grateful. Seriously!, what do people not get about you actually having a life outside of updating the Amanda Tapping site. What do people expect you to do, sit at your computer screen updating away, wasting your life trying to please them. I agree with D.Ditz, the updates on this website come in very quick and there is more information. I know the official one is going through a re-vamp and I have to say Julia is doing a great job of it with the time that she has, so she has every right to be a little behind with the updates. I think you’re both doing a fantastic job, and we’re here for that very reason. If we weren’t coming to you, THEN you might have to worry. What you do here is a MASSIVE amount of work. And you do it for free. More so, you do it at a personal financial and time consuming cost. You do it for the love of Amanda and her work as well as for the love of fans. The website is amazing, considerate, well structured and cared for.
And what do you get for it? Nothing. However what you shouldn’t get is criticism.
People need to remember you have NO OBLIGATION to anyone to do what you do. You do it because you care, and you owe no one an appology, let alone people who rather than offer a way, any way to help, criticize you for not doing enough.
You do plenty. You do more than other people.
“I’m sorry” are not words you should feel the need to say. Ever.
